I hope that you can join us in Dublin in August 2012. This event continues a series of important conferences on the urban effect on climates that began in Kyoto, Japan in 1989 and have grown in size and significance with time. It provides an ideal platform to showcase urban research by a diverse community of meteorologists, climatologists, hydrologists, ecologists, engineers, architects and planners. These conferences have proven to be convivial events where academics, practitioners, researchers and students discuss topics of mutual interest in a relaxed atmosphere.
