Social Event & Activities
As is the tradition for ICUC meetings an exciting social schedule will complement the presentation of research at ICUC8.
The Opening Reception will take place on Monday evening in UCD’s O’Reilly Hall. A Welcome Reception will take place on Tuesday evening at City Hall in Dublin’s city centre. The Gala Dinner will take place on Thursday at the Radisson St. Helen’s Hotel, which is close to the Belfield campus. A schedule of additional events for delegates and accompanying persons will also be available.

Join us on Monday evening in UCD’s lake-front O’Reilly Hall for the ICUC8 Opening Reception. Weather permitting, relax on the lawn while you catch up with colleagues old and new.

Dublin’s City Hall is an outstanding example of the Georgian architecture for which the city is renowned. Guests can enjoy the beautiful architecture of this building in the heart of Dublin’s city centre.
*Coach transfer will depart from UCD at 6.45pm from the car park beside O’Reilly Hall.
CONFERENCE GALA DINNER

Time: 7.30 for pre dinner drinks*
Ticket Price: €60.00 per person
Join us on Thursday evening at the Radisson St Helen’s for the ICUC8 Gala Dinner and farewell party. Located just south of Dublin city centre, and set within the magnificent gardens of the St Helen’s Estate, this evening will finish off your conference experience in style. Weather permitting pre-dinner drinks will be served in the exquisite gardens, followed by dinner and entertainment.
*A shuttle bus service will run between UCD Campus accommodation at the Roebuck halls carpark between 7.15 – 8.15pm.
